Or maybe it’s not a date? But what if it is and I don’t think it is and then I FUCK IT ALL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s been a while since I had a date Oppo.
It’s not obvious, is it?

Convincing yourself that this date is your only shot at ever finding a lifelong partner is also very helpful! The air of desperation makes one sooooo much desireable! One should also consider developing a wide array of nervous ticks.

where are you? If you are in the US, this is a pretty early Date.

Be yourself. Don’t stress. It will all be okay. Simply be confident in yourself and who you are.
Treat it like hanging out with a friend and it will all go better.
If it doesn't work out, it isn't a big deal. Trust me.

A date at 7am?!

If this is a breakfast/brunch date (assuming you’re in the US), just drink a bunch of mimosas and you’ll feel confident in no time. Hey, you can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning, right?

Dates are scary. Try to think of her (or him?) as just a normal friend. You may want to try to look good, but it will make a much better impression if you just act like your usual self. If s/he doesn’t like your usual self, that sucks, but it’s so much better to find that out on the first date than later.
Do dress nice*, though.
*Anything but a graphic tee or a tank top, unless you have specifically arranged for it to be super casual. Don’t wear a suit unless it’s a formal restaurant, and don’t wear a polo or flannel unless you think you look fine that way regardless. Especially if you’re not sure that it’s really a date, a solid T-shirt will be perfect. Maybe bring a button-up shirt as well just in case you find out you’re way under dressed, and then you just say some BS like you weren’t wearing it in the car because the seat belt snags on the buttons, or something. I dunno. You’ll do fine.

Don’t worry about it. Everything will go fine. Just make sure that you don’t have any visible boogers. Or anything in your teeth.
And your fly is zipped up.

Rub one out, it’ll help you stay relaxed.

I’m in China, so it was dinner and KTV thing, but I definitely believe in the power of liquid courage!

I took a taxi, but I think it would have gone my way if I could just figure out how to do a handbrake turn on my scooter...

In a sea of jokes (of widely varying quality), you provided actual advice. You, my friend, are a solid individual.

Central China, actually. Probably should remember to mention that in my posts from now on haha.

It would be, if I lived in America...it was 7:00 PM here in China.

I’m of a different school of thought. I find that I am more charming and more willing to interact with women when I am up to my eyeballs in what my friend and I refer as “qi”. But since it didn’t go how I’d hoped, I took myself to dinner when I got home anyway.

Just chiming in to say how weird it feels to read a “Don’t worry about it” by a user called Bateman. Gotta rewatch ‘
Psycho
one of these days.

As long as he’s not going out on a date with a “murders and executions” banker, he should be fine.
Maybe.
